Structures are only as good as their foundations. And with PMC, the foundation is as solid as it can be. Company history dates back to 1945, when Huron Machine Company was established. Employing only three people, and utilizing only 1,500 square feet of factory and office space, the Huron Machine Company specialized in Swiss automatic machining. As the quality of their screw machine products excelled so did business. Growth and expansion came quickly through the next twenty five years, as did a more prominent reputation and great expectations in the industry.
With higher goals still, the now 35 employees took the automatic machining to another level by becoming more involved with the company's future. Having moved to a building with nearly 13,000 square feet, National Acmes were added to the strong Swiss and secondary lines to keep up with the increased volume of work. The name Precision Machined Components was adopted to better identify the niche that had developed, specializing in those parts which are less than .8125 " in diameter.
And today, the mission of PMC carries with it the foundation of its history:
"...to provide only top quality precision machined components, to your delivery schedule, at the lowest possible cost."
